RUSSELL CLARE ASSOCIATES
Change that Resonates: Inclusion that Lasts.

Our Approach
Beyond box-ticking. We offer meaningful, measurable inclusion and change.
At RCA we believe inclusion isn’t a checkbox. It’s a practice. And like any practice, it requires intention, structure, and support.
Our work is grounded in frameworks that help make the invisible visible — story, caste, and accountability. These lenses allow us to uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface, and work with you to create systems that reflect your values not just in theory, but in practice.

STORY AS A TOOL
With a background in the arts, we have been part of the explosion of the use of story in corporate management consultancy since its very early days; working with British pioneer David Snowdon and US pioneer Steve Denning to unleash the power and impact of story as a tool for both communication and organisational auditing in industries as varied as Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Publishing and Academia. Story offers access to what logic and theory alone can’t reach - emotional truth, unspoken patterns, and stuck points that need attention.

CASTE FRAMEWORK
Caste is an analytical framework used in sociology to understand how hierarchical systems of power become embedded and inherited over time. We use this lens to explore protected characteristics including race, class, gender, disability and more, and to help you see them clearly as as interlocking elements impacted by structural harm. The caste framework is an incredible tool for navigating complex issues, even as language, terminology and expectations shift and change. This framework gives you the power to see where and why harm is being caused, so that you can respond with clarity and care.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Our work does not chase perfection or performance. We help organisations build processes that centre care, responsibility and real repair - even (and especially) when things go wrong. We help you to ensure your policies are robust and relevant, whilst also helping you to navigate what actually happens when those policies are called upon. When issues arise we are with you every step of the way through mediation and grievance support. We offer Listening Sessions, Safe Reporting Mechanisms and anonymised feedback to help you get a real sense of what is happening within the culture of your company, because you cannot change what you cannot see.
Our Principles
We meet people where they are, and support them to grow.

We centre impact, not intent.

We create educational spaces where people can learn and make mistakes without causing harm.

We hold dignity for all involved.

We believe sustainable inclusion is strategic, not performative.

We advocate for ongoing learning and engagement, and ask organisations to understand that inclusion is a journey, not a quick fix.
Our Style
We work with honesty and care. We won’t avoid difficult truths, but we will always offer guidance and steadiness. We understand the pressures of internal politics, budgetary constraints, the fear of getting it wrong, and the need for spaces where people can learn, reflect and reset.
Your Role
Our most successful partnerships begin with leadership who are willing to engage with discomfort, listen deeply, and make space for long-term culture change. You don’t need to have all the answers, you just need to be willing to act.
